Joining the Aggies in the fall of 2007 will be Brooke Coleman (Houston), Haley Cooper (Southlake), Amanda Goldman (Shreveport, La.), and Randi Standley (Madisonville).

Brooke Coleman is the daughter of Brandon and Cindi Coleman. Coleman has extensive showing experience all over the country, particularly on the Eastern seaboard. She has several wins to her credit at the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show, including wins in the Regional Maclay Finals and the Washington International Class in 2006. She received an award for Best Equitation Round of the Show at the 2006 Capital Challenge in the Monarch International Show Circuit Magazine class. Coleman finished 27th in the Maclay Medal Finals in 2006 and also was a member of the first non-New England team to take the gold medal in the Challenge of the States at the New England Finals in Springfield, Mass. Her trainers are Patricia Harnois, Cathy Grady, and Caitlin Venezia of Holly Hill Farms in Massachusetts and Wellington, Fla.

"Brooke comes from a family that is deeply rooted in Texas A&M and its traditions," A&M English coach Linzy Woolf said. "She is extremely excited to continue her family's legacy here at A&M and I feel like she will be a perfect addition for our team's continuing quest of "Building Champions". Her experience in showing on the East Coast and at national final horse shows will be very beneficial for our team."

Haley Cooper is a senior at Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas. She has earned multiple top 10 finishes at the Palomino Horse Breeders of America (PHBA) World Show in all-around events. She has earned a Superior award in western pleasure by the American Paint Horse Association (APHA) recently as well. Cooper has trained with Jeffrey Gibbs, Andrea Simons, Terry Thompson, and Jeannie Young. Cooper's mother, Nancy, is a former student (Class of '81) as well.

"Haley has dreamt of being an Aggie since she was a little girl," A&M horsemanship coach Beth Bass said. "This was a fantastic opportunity for her to put her two passions together by becoming a member of our team. She has worked with several different trainers and competed in multiple events which will make her a well-rounded addition to our team. Haley is a strong student and we expect her to excel for us in the classroom as well."

Amanda Goldman is a senior at Caddo Magnet High School in Shreveport, La. Despite being a Louisiana native, Goldman ranks No. 1 in the state of Texas in 16-17 Junior Hunter Equitation. She also ranks second in USEF Zone 6 and seventh nationally in Junior Hunters. In 2006, Goldman was pinned third at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Large 16-17-year-old Junior Hunters Under Saddle as well as ninth in Large 16-17 Junior Hunters. She also earned championship honors in Children's/Adult Jumpers at the Classic Go Show in Oklahoma City and at the St. Louis Summer Festival in July of 2006. Goldman trains with Reagan St. John of Double Rainbow Farms.

"Amanda is an extremely hard worker with a lot of potential to excel in the collegiate riding arena," Woolf said. "She has quickly excelled from showing locally to showing at a national level."

Randi Standley is a senior at Madisonville High School in Madisonville, Texas. She has qualified multiple times for the American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) world show in equitation, horsemanship, reining, and showmanship. She has numerous Quarter Horse Congress Top Ten awards, Texas Quarter Horse Association (TQHA) High Point Awards and has been named the TQHA High Point Youth in reining. Standley has also earned AQHA Superior Awards in equitation, horsemanship and showmanship. She currently trains with Mark Dunham and Nathan Piper.

"Randi is a wonderful student in and out of the competition arena," A&M head coach Tana Rawson said. "She has a great background and has been very successful in a number of classes. She is a true Aggie at heart and we are very excited to have such a dedicated and talented young lady be a part of our successful program."
