Three Aggies Punch Tickets to NCAA Championships on Day One of Zones

HOUSTON – Three Aggies punched their tickets to NCAA Championships on day one of NCAA Zone D Diving Championships at the CRWC Natatorium Monday afternoon. Allen Bottego, Victor Povzner and Joslyn Oakley each earned a spot to compete at NCAAs later this month.
Bottego, Povzner and Takuto Endo advanced out of the 3-meter prelims as Bottgeo was the top scorer on the men's side, placing seventh with a score of 767.40. Povzner was just behind him in eighth, posting a score of 765.25. With only nine qualifying spots available, Endo missed the mark with a 12th-place score of 713.80.
Oakley was the lone Aggie in the 1-meter final as she notched a seventh-place score of 581.60 to make her second trip to NCAA Championships in as many years. Mayson Richards, Payton Props and Chloe McKnight were also in action on the 1-meter as Richards placed 20th with a score of 265.50, Props took 21st with a score of 263.30 and McKnight finished 51st with a score of 176.15.
Rhett Hensley just missed the 1-meter final, placing 19th with a score of 305.50 and Matthew Aigner rounded out the Aggies in action on the men's side, placing 21st with a score of 287.60.
