Two Aggies Qualify for NCAA Championships on Day Two of Zones

HOUSTON – Two more Aggies earned their spots to compete at NCAA Championships with qualifying scores on day two at NCAA Zone D Diving Championships at the CRWC Natatorium Tuesday afternoon. Mayson Richards and Takuto Endo will join teammates Joslyn Oakley, Victor Povzner and Allen Bottego at their respective postseason meets.
Richards will make her NCAA Championships debut after securing the final qualifying spot on the 3-meter with a ninth-place score of 629.50. Oakley added a second event for the championship meet when she placed fifth on the 3-meter with a score of 641.40.
Endo notched a fifth-place finish on the 1-meter with a score of 710.70 to secure his spot at NCAA Championships. Endo will also compete on the 3-meter after his top-12 finish in the event on Monday. Povzner and Bottego added top-nine scores on the 3-meter to tack on a second event at NCAAs as Povzner took second with a score of 757.30 and Bottego scored 677.10 to place ninth.
Chloe McKnight and Payton Props scored in the top-35 on the 3-meter with McKnight placing 30th with a score of 265.55 and Props was just behind in 32nd with a score of 261.15.
Matthew Aigner finished 20th on the 1-meter with a score of 268.30, while Rhett Hensley placed 22nd with a score of 256.10.
