BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M men's basketball coach Bucky McMillan continued to build the Aggies' 2025-26 roster with the addition of Texas Tech big man Federiko Federiko on Monday.

Federiko, from Helsinki, Finland, played a key role in the Red Raiders' run to the NCAA Elite 8 last season while playing in 35 games with six starts. The 6-11 forward/center averaged 5.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game while also swatting 27 shots. He was particularly strong as an offensive rebounder with more than half of his total rebounds (81 of 157) coming from the offensive glass. He tallied his season highs in points and rebounds with a double-double effort of 23 and 12 in the Red Raiders' win over Oral Roberts (12/16/24).

Before his time in Lubbock, Federiko played two seasons at the University of Pittsburgh, seeing action in 68 games with 53 starts for the Panthers. He posted 388 points, 356 rebounds and 101 blocks while helping Pitt to a 45-23 record. He had 10 double-digit scoring games, including a high game of 22 against Northern Florida (12/17/22). He had five double-digit rebound efforts with a high of 14 vs. Sacred Heart (12/10/22).

In three seasons at the Division I level, Federiko has scored 568 points while hitting 68.0% of his field goal attempts. Additionally, he's posted 513 rebounds, including 243 offensive boards, and blocked 128 shots. He began his collegiate career at Northern Oklahoma College in 2021-22 where he earned NJCAA honorable mention All-America honors after averaging 11.7 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks for the Mavericks.
