Praasterink, Bottego Qualify for NCAA Championships on Day One of Zones

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Texas A&M's Else Praasterink and Allen Bottego punched their tickets to NCAA Championships on the first day of competition at NCAA Zone D Diving Championships Monday.
Praasterink used a fourth-place score of 321.10 to advance to the 3-meter final and later earned her spot to represent the Maroon & White at NCAAs with a total score of 635.60, good for sixth.
All three Aggies on the men's side advanced to the final with top-18 scores in prelims. Sitting in sixth with a score of 353.50, Bottego moved into fourth in the final with a total score of 704.05 to secure his spot at his fourth NCAA Championships. Jaxon Bowshire and Rhett Hensley notched top-12 finishes on the 1-meter as Bowshire took 11th with a total score of 639.15 and Hensley finished 12th, scoring 632.40.
The Aggies return to action Tuesday with the men's 3-meter and women's 1-meter. A complete schedule the remainder of the meet as well as links to live results and streams can be found below.
