Aggies Earn All-America Honors to Start NCAA Championships

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – The Aggies earned All-America accolades in the 200 medley relay as competition began at Women's NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center Wednesday night. Texas A&M sits in 17th with six points after the first day.
The 200 medley relay team of Kaitlyn Owens, Bobbi Kennett, Olivia Theall and Chloe Stepanek started the night earning Honorable Mention All-America honors with a 14th-place finish. Owens got the race started with her fastest 50 back of the season, clocking a 23.60, and Kennett followed up with a season-best 27.03 breaststroke leg as the Aggies posted their fastest time of the year and matched the No. 2 time in program history, finishing in 1:35.33.
The 800 free relay team of Stepanek, Jordan Buechler, Katie Walker and Hayden Miller closed out the Day 1 action taking 22nd with a time of 7:04.64.
