Nine Aggies Head to NCAA Zones

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Nine Aggies head to NCAA Zone D Diving Championships, running March 10-12 on Iowa's campus for their lone opportunity to qualify for NCAA Championships. Prelims begin daily at 12 p.m. with finals to follow.
Allen Bottego aims to advance to his fourth NCAA Championships after posting a pair of top-10 scores at SEC Championships, including a fourth-place finish on the 3-meter. After missing the fall, Bottego notched a career-best score of 425.40 on the 3-meter in the LSU dual meet and has scored over 405 points on the 3-meter in all four of his appearances this year. Rhett Hensley is a two-time All-American on platform and is set to compete in all three events at Zones. Hensley added top-10 points on platform at SEC Championships after notching a new career-best score of 388.35 in the event in the dual meet against Florida.
Jaxon Bowshire and Matthew Aigner will also be in action at Zones as Bowshire qualified in all three events and Aigner earned a spot on the 3-meter and platform. Bowshire made himself known in his SEC Championships debut, claiming gold on platform with a career-best score of 476.25, which ranks second all-time at A&M. Aigner is coming off his highest finish at SECs after adding 12th-place points on platform with a score of 336.90.
On the women's side, Else Praasterink, Mayson Richards, Chloe McKnight, Bridget Foster, and Julie Moons will represent the Maroon & White at Zones. Praasterink scored in all three events at SEC Championships, boasting a fourth-place finish on platform and a seventh-place score on 3-meter in her debut at the meet. Richards is coming off her best performance at SECs, starting the meet off with a sixth-place score of 285.85 on the 1-meter and following it up winning the consolation final, placing ninth with a score of 323.60 on the 3-meter. McKnight aims to build on her success from SECs after notching her best finish at the meet, placing 12th on platform with a near-career-best score of 253.50. Foster and Moons have each qualified for their first Zones on both springboards and each added points for the Aggies on the 1-meter at SEC Championships.
