Aggie Trio Named to SEC All-Tournament Team
May 10, 2025 | Softball
ATHENS – Texas A&M's KK Dement, Amari Harper and Koko Wooley have each been named to the SEC All-Tournament Team, the league announced Saturday evening.
Dement matched an SEC Tournament record nine RBI, while Harper and Wooley each averaged .833 at the dish to become only the second and third players to do so in tournament history.
Dement went 3-for-7 in the tournament, including her first multi-home run game in the semifinal round. The freshman was 1-for-4 with a double, four RBI and one run in the quarterfinal 12-4 run rule victory over South Carolina. The Selma, Calif., native matched her career-high RBI output going 2-for-3 with two home runs and two runs in the 14-2 dismantling of Texas in the semifinal round.
Harper hit 5-for-6 at the dish, including one homer, one double, while adding six RBI and four runs. Her six RBI came in the semifinal round after she lined a 2-RBI double down the right field line in the first inning, an RBI single up the middle in the second inning and a 3-RBI homer to right center in the third. It marks the first career SEC All-Tournament recognition for the junior.
Wooley was the lone Aggie to score three runs in each game and joined Harper as the only Aggies to register multiple hits in each game. The senior went 5-for-6 at plate and was walked once, while adding a stolen base. Wooley turned A&M's lone double play of the tournament as she sped to catch a blooper over the pitcher's head before tossing it over to first base to catch a Longhorn sleeping for the double play. It marks the second consecutive season for the La Porte, Texas, product to earn SEC All-Tournament honors.
All three helped anchor an Aggie defense that was flawless on the field with no errors, while recording 30 putouts and nine assists.
The 2025 NCAA softball selection show will air on Sunday, May 11 at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
