Women’s Basketball Signs Little Rock Transfer Emerald Parker
May 20, 2025 | Women's Basketball
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M women's basketball announced the addition of Little Rock transfer Emerald Parker to the 2025-26 roster Tuesday.
"We are very excited and can't wait to get Emerald to Aggieland," Head Coach Joni Taylor said. "She had a great freshman year and is ready to continue to grow as a player and person. She adds great depth to our front court and is built for the SEC. Emerald will be a perfect fit for our culture and the 12th Man will love her."
The rising redshirt sophomore averaged 7.6 points and 6.2 rebounds in 30 starts last season for the Trojans. The Ruston, Louisiana, native led all Ohio Valley Conference freshmen in rebounds per game and was top 10 among rookies in points per game in the conference.
Parker scored in double figures 13 times during the 2024-25 campaign and had three double-doubles. The 6-3 forward pulled down a career-high 16 rebounds, with 10 being offensive boards, against Arkansas (Nov. 11) in non-conference play. She also poured in a career-best 18 points, going 8-of-9 from the field versus Western Illinois (Feb. 22).
Parker is the seventh player to sign with the Aggies this offseason. She joins Salese Blow, Jordan Webster, Pien Steenberger, Ny'Ceara Pryor, Fatmata Janneh and Lemyah Hylton as players to join Texas A&M this offseason.
