Texas A&M heads to Colonial Country Club Sept 29-30
FORT WORTH – The Texas A&M men's golf team will join an elite field at the prestigious Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational at the famed Colonial Country Club September 29-30, allowing fans in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to catch the Aggies in action, head coach Brian Kortan announced Wednesday.

The tournament features a 15-team field of powerhouses. Three of the top five squads from last season's final Clippd National Golf Ranking are in the field, with 13 of the 15 contestants landing the top 25. All 15 teams played in NCAA regional tournaments and 11 advanced to the NCAA Championship. The event will serve as an early SEC measuring stick for the Aggies with seven league members in the field, including Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas and Vanderbilt.

One of the premier courses in the nation, Colonial Country Club has hosted an annual PGA Tour event since 1946 with the Charles Schwab Challenge contested every May. The course has also hosted U.S. Opens for both men and women.

The Aggies head into 2025-26 with seven returning letterwinners, including GCAA All-Freshman and PING All-Central Region performer Wheaton Ennis along with 2025 U.S. Amateur qualifier Jacob Sosa and 2024 PING All-Central Region golfer Jaime Montojo. Two newcomers join the squad, including Pepperdine transfer Kris Kuvaas and 2024 Texas Junior Amateur champion Shiv Parmar.
