Aggies to Open 2025-26 Campaign at Gopher Invitational

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M men's golf team will lift the lid on the 2025-26 campaign at the Gopher Invitational slated for Sept. 7-8 at Windsong Farm Golf Club in Maple Plain, Minnesota.
Hosted by the University of Minnesota, the 2025 field features a diverse field from throughout the country. Texas A&M is joined by Texas South Carolina as the two SEC squads in the tournament. The 15-team field, also boasts four Big Ten squads, including the Nebraska, Rutgers and Wisconsin along with the host Gophers. Iowa State, Louisville and West Virginia also represent the power conferences.
The Gopher Invitational will be played at Windsong Farm Golf Club for the 12th consecutive season. Windsong Farm is consistently rated among Minnesota's top golf courses along with earning national recognition as one of the top modern courses in the nation.
It will mark the Aggies' second trip to the Gopher Invitational. In 2019, Texas A&M placed second at the event, finishing two strokes behind Baylor. Dan Erickson posted a second-place finish on the individual leaderboard.
The Aggies head into 2025-26 with seven returning letterwinners, including GCAA Freshman All-American Wheaton Ennis (No. 82) and rising junior Aaron Pounds (No. 163) who both finished in the top 170 on the Clippd National Rankings. A pair of newcomers join the squad, including 2024 Texas Junior Amateur champion Shiv Parmar and 2022 Pepperdine transfer Kris Kuvaas (No. 265).
Texas A&M looks to build on the success of the 2024-25 campaign. The Maroon & White finished 11th at the NCAA Championship and posted runner-up finishes at the SEC Championship and the NCAA Auburn Regional. Ol' Sarge's charges claimed three tournament titles, including the Furman Intercollegiate, SeaBest Invitational and Aggie Invitational.
