BANDON, Ore. – The Texas A&M women's golf team is sending a nation's best six participants to the 2025 U.S. Women's Amateur at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort August 4-10.
Texas A&M's six active golfers are the most in the country ahead of programs such as Arkansas (4), Duke (3), TCU (3), Texas (3), Wake Forest (2) and Stanford (2). The six Aggies heading to Bandon, Oregon, are Kynadie Adams, Vanessa Borovilos, Cayetana Fernández García-Poggio, Scarlett Schremmer, Natalie Yen and Avery Zweig.
The 156-player field will be cut down to 64 after two rounds of stroke play. After the cut, the tournament shifts to a match play bracket where a champion will be crowned in a 36-hole match Sunday, Aug. 10.
All-Americans Borovilos and Fernández García-Poggio punched their tickets to the U.S. Women's Amateur after being in the top 50 points leaders of the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Incoming freshmen Scarlett Schremmer and Natalie Yen earned their exemptions after winning the 2025 Alabama Women's Amateur and 2025 US. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship, respectively.
