What made you want to commit to Texas A&M?
"The coaches and facilities had a big impact on my commitment. The staff brought me in like a family, Coach Ford is really like a mother figure. I also have an Uncle who lives in the San Antonio area, so it helps having family close when you're 13 hours away from home."
What is it like as a small town girl representing Crockett County in the Maroon and White?
"In Crockett County it's hard to represent Texas A&M because of the Tennessee fan bases, but there's nothing like College Station. Transitioning with this many people is a change but I definitely will enjoy having them support me."
Which Aggie tradition is your favorite?
"I really like the Aggie Ring tradition and the Yells. Farmers Fight is my favorite"
Having past experience in club and travel ball, how can those experiences translate into collegiate play?
"I played at a high level with high level commits. Playing against them has helped me a lot and it has overall boosted my confidence."
What are some individual and team goals for this season?
"I want to start off young and make a name for myself. Making the College World Series as a team."
What have you heard about what it will be like playing in front of the 12th Man?
"I heard the 12th Man is a really passionate fan base. They are always hyping players up and supporting them as the number one fans. I'm really excited to experience the 12th Man this season."
How has your transition been from Tennessee to Texas and have your older teammates helped?
"KK Dement and Kate Munnerlyn have had a big impact on my adjustment and the upperclassmen have been there for me and are very supportive."
What is your major and what do you planning on doing with it?
"My current major is Sports Management but I will be changing it to Health Science since I plan on being an Physicians Assistant."
Where is your favorite place to eat?
"Here it is definitely Clark. Every time my family visits, my Dad loves going to the Dixie Chicken which has grown on me. Generally, I also really like Chipotle."
If you could have dinner with anyone, past or present, who would it be?
"Michael Jordan. I would ask him how I can prepare myself for these next steps in my life, how to work under pressure and see what it takes to become better each day."
Do you have a saying/slogan that keeps you going?
"I say "Everything happens for a reason" sticks with me. If something happens it's never the end of the world and it keeps me going forward."
