Aggies Compete at NCAA Men’s Swimming & Diving Championships

Eight Aggies are set for the Men's NCAA Championships this week at the McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.

ATLANTA – Eight Aggies are set for the Men's NCAA Championships this week at the McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.
 
Qualifying individually for the NCAA Championships were swimmer Logan Brown and divers Jaxon Bowshire, Emilio Trevino and Matthew Aigner.
 
Brown qualified in three individual events, posting best times of 51.81 in the 100 breast and 1:55.55 in the 200 breast and 1:41.59 in the 200 IM at SEC Championships.
 
On the diving side, Bowshire, last year's NCAA runner-up in the platform, secured his spot with a score of 808.20 in the platform at NCAA Zone D Championships. Trevino earned his first NCAA bid after qualifying on the platform with a score of 772.20 and the 3-meter with a score of 735.25 at Zones. Aigner will also make his NCAA Championships debut after qualifying on the platform with a score of 679.40.
 
Texas A&M advanced the 200 and 400 freestyle relays to the national meet. Senior Seth Reno, junior Ben Sytsma, sophomore Ben Scholl and freshman Alejandro Michelena will serve as relay alternates for the Aggies.
