TEXAS A&M QUOTES
Head Coach Brian Kortan
On Jack Usner's bounce back in the second round...
"I told (Coach) Fast this morning I knew Jack had a round in him. I knew he'd give us something. I felt like he's been playing very well and he had a couple good days prior to yesterday. It's great that he had a bounce back round. It's really nice to see on a day where maybe we didn't get as much as we wanted from some of the other scorecard."
On Jake Maggert's solid round playing as an individual...
"It's good to see your guys play well. That's something you're hoping for whether they're in the lineup or not in the lineup. That's part of the reason you take an individual or two occasionally, because you're trying to get them experience and to see how the development process is going. He's been putting the time and effort in to get better and it's good to see it show up in the score today."
On what the team needs to do to close out the tournament with a win...
"It's going to be a challenge for sure. The wind's going to blow hard again, and the course presents some challenges all day long. So we have to play a great round of golf to win. I look forward to watching our guys fight. That's what we left town to do. When you leave town you want to be able to have a chance to win at the end."
