TEXAS A&M QUOTES
Head Coach Brian Kortan
On the team finishing even par and tied for sixth after round one…
"It was a tale of two nines. We didn't play our first nine very well, but we played well on the second nine. The guys did a really good job of hanging in there and battling back from being six- or seven-over-par at the turn. I'm proud of them for that. They know we need to do a few things better tomorrow, but overall, they did a good job fighting back today."
On Aaron Pounds and Jaime Montojo tying for seventh at 3-under…
"Aaron and Jaime were both steady all day. They kept their golf ball in scoring positions and never really got out of shape. They did a heck of a job; that's a good score on that golf course. We need more of that the next couple of days."
