Aggies Advance to NCAA Championship

BRYAN – The Texas A&M Aggies advanced out of the NCAA Men's Golf Bryan Regional with a second-place finish after Tuesday's second and third round action at Traditions Club.
Ol' Sarge's charges earned their fifth straight NCAA Championship appearance and moved on for the seventh time in the last eight years.
The Maroon & White shot 40-under 824 through three rounds at the par-72, 7,270-yard course. The Aggies were followed by Chattanooga (-23), North Carolina (-19) and Tennessee (-18), trailing only Texas in first (-45) as the top five teams advance to the NCAA Championship.
Wheaton Ennis led the way for Texas A&M shooting 5-under 67 in each of the final two rounds to finish second overall. He registered six birdies in the final round to finish one stroke behind Texas' Luke Potter, who finished 17-under 199.
Kris Kuvaas and Shiv Parmar finished tied for eighth place at 9-under 206. Kuvaas posted a 5-under 67 in Tuesday's first loop and followed it up with a 70. Parmar registered a 3-under 69 in the second round. He rolled momentum into the afternoon round with a 6-under 66, including 32 on the back nine. He penciled in five birdies and an eagle.
Aaron Pounds wrapped up with a 4-under 212. He logged even 72 both rounds. Jaime Montojo finished tied for 31st at 1-under 215.
