COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M Director of Swimming & Diving Blaire Anderson has added 2020 Olympian and two-time Aggie Heart Award winner Munzy Kabbara to her staff as External Relations & Recruiting Assistant.
In this role, Kabbara, who finished his standout collegiate swimming career earlier this year, supports external relations, recruiting, communications and event operations for the swimming & diving program. He serves as a key liaison to alumni, donors and families, while delivering a championship-level game day and event experience.
"We are thrilled to welcome Munzy back to Aggieland in this new role," Anderson said. "He embodies everything it means to be an Aggie—his leadership, competitive excellence and commitment to others have left a lasting impact on our program. Munzy's experience as an elite athlete, combined with the relationships he has built within our community, make him a perfect fit to help elevate our external engagement, recruiting efforts and overall student-athlete experience."
A native of Houston, Kabbara competed for the Aggies from 2021-26 and represented Texas A&M at the NCAA Championships three times. The versatile Kabbara finished his career ranked on the school's all-time top 10 list in four events: 200 backstroke, 200 butterfly and the 200 and 400 IM's. He began swimming internationally for Lebanon at age 12 and has competed at the seven World Championship events and the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. He owns Lebanese national records in the 200 butterfly and 200 and 400 IM's.
"I am looking very forward to continuing my deep commitment to Texas A&M Swimming & Diving," Kabbara said. "My efforts will be focused on helping cultivate an atmosphere that demonstrates the hallmarks of a championship program, both inside and outside the pool. I also hope to help strengthen the connection between former student-athletes and the current team, while continuing to play a role in recruiting individuals who embody the culture and values that make this program special. My goal is for everyone to be as excited and invested in the future of this program as I am."
Kabbara received the coveted Aggie Heart Award in 2025 and 2026, and he served as a team captain as a fifth-year senior in 2025-26. At the 2026 Legacy Awards, Kabbara was honored as the male 12th Man of the Year for epitomizing the Spirit of the 12th Man and Texas A&M's Core Values. Always involved in the community, Kabbara completed over 100 volunteer hours supporting community service and event initiatives, such as Aggie AchieveMates and REVved Up to Read.
He earned his bachelor's degree in international studies of commerce with minors in business and Arabic in 2026. He was a four-time member of the SEC Winter Honor Roll.
