Texas A&M Commencement Ceremonies

NOTE: These policies are in effect for Texas A&M commencement ceremonies only and not for regular athletics events.
Arrival
Doors will be opened for guests at least one hour before the start of each ceremony.
There are 5 Entry points to Reed Arena and all will be open for the Commencement Ceremonies. There are 3 Entrances at Reed Arena that do not require stair usage, those are the Main Entrance, North Entrance, and the East Entrance. The other 2 Entries do have stairs outside of the building.
Seating
For the Texas A&M Commencement Ceremonies there are no tickets needed for admission to this event and seats are not assigned. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis.
Section 122 is a Reserved Section and will have additional ushers assisting with the seats that are assigned.
Parking
Lots 100 a–f & 100 j and West Campus Garage will be open for Commencement. Lot 102 is reserved for Disabled parking and 100 g is reserved for special guests. For more information and parking maps please visit the Transportation Services website.
Restrooms
All public restrooms inside the venue are accessible. Family restrooms can be found near Section 119.
First Aid
There is a First Aid Room located on the concourse in the Main Hallway near section 113 and the Main Entrance.
Animals
Animals are not permitted inside Reed Arena, with the exception of service animals and service animals in training. [per University SAP 08.01.02.M0.02, Service Animals, Emotional Support Animals and Other Animals on Campus]
Accessible Seating
Wheelchair space and seating for mobility-impaired guests are both available on a first-come first-serve basis. The top three rows in each section are reserved for mobility impaired guests. Most of these reserved areas can accommodate wheelchair seating. Up to four family members/attendants per mobility impaired patron is permitted to sit in the reserved areas. When you enter Reed Arena, you may ask an usher at the entrance or at one of the sections for assistance.
Designated reserved sections for hearing and visually impaired guests can be found in Section 104, Rows A and B, Seats 1-5. Sign interpretation for graduates or guests will be provided for the university commencement ceremonies. Hearing assistance devices are available in Guest Services, across from Section 113, near the main entrance.
Assistive Listening System
Reed Arena is equipped with an assistive listening system. Please contact guest services (near section 113) for more information.
Clear Bag Policy
Any event occurring inside Reed Arena will adhere to the Clear Bag Policy.
Any medically necessary items or equipment that does not fit within the bag policy requirements will be screened before entry at any entrance at Reed Arena and a tag will be provided.
Prohibited Items
Reed Arena policy prohibits the following items at Special Events and Non-Texas A&M Athletic events hosted by the venue:
Cameras are included as a prohibited item at Reed Arena for Non- Athletic Events. Texas A&M Commencement Ceremonies will permit cameras, but no professional cameras will be allowed. Professional Cameras are defined as cameras that include any of the following: a lens larger than 3 inches, external flash, interchangeable lenses, or tripods. Camera bags or cases will not be allowed as Reed Arena has a clear bag policy.

Guest Services
There is a Guest Services Kiosk located in the Main Hallway near section 113 and the Main Entrance. Visit our Kiosk with any questions, concerns, or for lost and found.
Lost and Found
Any lost and found items that are found or turned in during the ceremonies will be turned into the Guest Service Kiosk at Reed Arena located in the Main Hallway near section 113 and the Main Entrance. The Kiosk will open when the doors open for each ceremony and will be available throughout the event.
All unclaimed items from Reed Arena will be taken to the Memorial Student Center lost and found on the next business day after the event. You can contact the lost and found office with this phone number 979-845-1515. They are located in the Memorial Student Center suite 2240 and they are open from 8-5pm, Monday-Friday.

- Texas A&M Commencement Ceremonies will permit cameras, but no professional cameras will be allowed. Professional Cameras are defined as cameras that include any of the following: a lens larger than 3 inches, external flash, interchangeable lenses, or tripods. Camera bags or cases will not be allowed as Reed Arena has a clear bag policy.
- Audio/Visual Recording Devices
- Selfie Sticks, Tripods, Monopods
- Glass or Metal Containers, Bottles, or Flasks
- No outside food or beverage items allowed (Exception is one SEALED bottle of water per person)
- Laptops, Personal Computers, or Two-Way Radios
- Weapons or Firearms
- Flammable Liquids or Aerosol Cans
- Flashlights, Laser Pointers, Glow Sticks, Flares or Fireworks
- Noise Making Devices (i.e. Air Horns, whistles, bells, vuvuzelas, etc.)
- Balloons, Balls, Beach Balls, Projectiles or Optical Illusions
- Flowers, Plants or other Foliage in a glass vase or container.
- Skateboards, Segway, Scooters, Rollerblades or Bicycles
- Strollers, Carriers, and Car Seats
- Drones or Aerial Equipment of Any Kind
- Animals or Pets (however trained, harnessed and housebroken Service Animals are allowed)
- Clothing, garments, or signs displaying explicit language, profanity, or derogatory characterization toward any person(s) or organization(s).
- Unauthorized Pamphlets, Handouts, Advertisements, Flyers, Signs, Fathead Posters, Flags or Banners. Any political or fundraising type signage is not allowed unless directly associated with the event. Management reserves the right to prohibit or remove a sign or banner at any time.
- No tobacco products including electronic cigarettes or vaping. No Illegal Drugs or Substances (Texas A&M University is a smoke-free campus).
