PRIOR TO TEXAS A&M: Lettered four seasons at A&M Consolidated under head coaches Lee Fedora and Brandon Schmidt … helped the Tigers to 41-11 four-year ledger, including a Class 5A Division I state quarterfinal showing in 2023 … as the program’s quarterback, completed 423-of-690 pass attempts for 6,231 yards (.613) with 63 touchdowns against 27 INTs … added 130 rushes for 604 yards (4.65) with 11 scores and 16 receptions for 260 yards (16.25) with three touchdowns … registered three 100+ yard rushing performances.
PERSONAL: Born June 27, 2006 … son of Thadd and Alisyn Hargett ... majoring in agricultural leadership and development … paternal grandfather, Edd Hargett, was a three-year letterwinner (1966-67-68) at quarterback for the Aggies, serving as team captain in 1968, and graduating holding Southwest Conference records for career attempts (821), completions (403), passing yards (5,379), offensive plays (1,092), total offense (5,411 yards) and touchdown passes (40); was selected by the New Orleans Saints in the 1969 NFL Draft and spent four seasons with the team before finishing career with the Houston Oilers in 1973; was inducted into the Texas A&M Athletics Hall of Fame in 1974, the Cotton Bowl Hall of Fame in 2023 and the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame in 2026.
