Mike Devlin joined the Texas A&M football staff as an offensive analyst, working primarily with the offensive line, in July of 2026.
A veteran coach with more than two decades of NFL and collegiate coaching experience, Devlin has built a reputation as one of football's most experienced offensive line mentors. He has tutored nine players to be selected to a combined 18 Pro Bowls, including a pair of AP First Team All-Pro selections. He has coached offensive linemen at every level of the game, including stints with the Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets, Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens and Los Angeles Chargers.
Prior to joining Texas A&M, Devlin spent the 2024 and 2025 seasons as the offensive line coach for the Los Angeles Chargers after serving as the assistant offensive line coach where he helped Rashawn Slater play at the highest level of his career and earn a Pro Bowl nod. He also tutored tackle Joe Alt to All-Rookie recognition from the Professional Football Writers of America in 2024 and a Pro Bowl honor in 2025.
He spent the 2022 and 2023 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, where he helped guard Kevin Zeitler and center Tyler Linderbaum to Pro Bowl nods.
Before his time in Baltimore, he coached the Houston Texans' offensive line for six seasons (2015-20) after spending nine seasons with the New York Jets, where he worked with the tight ends before serving as offensive line coach from 2013-14. Between New York and Houston, he coached Nick Mangold, Laremy Tunsil and Duane Brown to Pro Bowl selections.
Devlin began his coaching career with the Arizona Cardinals in 2000 as an offensive quality control coach before being promoted to assistant offensive line coach. He also spent two seasons (2004-05) as offensive line coach at the University of Toledo before returning to the NFL.
Prior to entering the coaching profession, Devlin enjoyed an eight-year NFL playing career after being selected in the fifth round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. He appeared in Super Bowl XXVIII with Buffalo and later played for the Arizona Cardinals, appearing in 101 career NFL games.
A standout offensive lineman at the University of Iowa, Devlin earned consensus All-America honors in 1992 and was named the Big Ten Offensive Lineman of the Year. He was a three-time All-Big Ten selection and helped establish himself as one of the premier offensive linemen in Hawkeye history before beginning his professional career.
Away from football, the Devlin family has founded and championed various charitable organizations, including Devlin’s Helping Hands and two events that benefit several organizations, The Devlin Football Camp and The John S. Devlin Golf Tournament.
Devlin is married to the former Julie Wooldridge of Iowa City, Iowa, and they are the parents of Zachary, Hallie, Carlie and Matthew. They also have three grandkids, Isla, Caden and Adaline.
