Cross Country Home Meet Info
In 2026 Texas A&M will host three home regular season cross country meets and the NCAA South Central Regional at the Watts Cross Country Course. We will host a “short course” Aggie Opener on Friday, September 4, the Texas A&M Invitational and Texas A&M High School Invitational on Friday, September 11, and the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Friday, October 16.
Our course has hosted five NCAA South Central regional meets, two SEC Championship meets, and the 2022 USATF Junior Olympics National Championships. In 2025 it will became host to the Nike Cross Country South Regional (“NXR”). It is a dedicated cross country course that meets all of the specifications to host the NCAA national championships.
Please note that we will be capping the field size of the high school meet at 30-32 teams per gender this year.
