BRYAN, Texas - The third-ranked Texas A&M equestrian team made it four straight victories with a 13-3 win over South Dakota State Saturday at the Brazos County Expo Complex.
The Aggies (5-2) blanked the Jackrabbits in the hunter seat discipline, winning all eight rides, then posted a 5-3 victory in the western discipline. The 10-point spread matches A&M's season best, set last month against Baylor.
A&M swept all four MVP awards for the first time this season. Taking home the honors were sophomores Caroline Gunn in horsemanship and Maggie Gratny in reining. Earle and Gunn each picked up their second MVP honors of the year, while Solch and Gratny earned their first of the campaign. Solch's was also the first of her career.
The victory wrapped up the fall portion of the schedule for Texas A&M, who will return to the competition ring on Saturday, Jan. 30 when the Aggies host Delaware State.
