
Aggie Riders Down OSU, 16-11

BRYAN, Texas - The third-ranked Texas A&M equestrian team ran its home win streak to 23 shows with a 16-11 win over No. 4 Oklahoma State Saturday afternoon at the Brazos County Expo Complex.
With the win, the Aggies move their season record to 9-4 and finish the regular season with a perfect 5-0 mark against fellow Big 12 conference schools. The Cowgirls, meanwhile, fell to 6-5.
A&M got off to a good start on the day, claiming five of the seven rides in equitation over fences. Leading the way was senior Jackie O'Connell, Emily Williams and Brooke Coleman also scored for the Aggie hunter seat riders. MVP accolades went to OSU's Jordan White.
In horsemanship, the Aggies picked up another five victories, paced by Amanda Cushman, Caroline Gunn and Katie Lisabeth joined Nowacek as winners in the discipline.
The Cowgirls took a tight flat competition, 4-3. Redshirt freshman Brittney Dodson and Elizabeth Solch were the other winners for the Aggies in the discipline. The Cowgirls' Sarah Brown was named MVP on the flat.
The reiners scored three points to round out the afternoon for A&M. Sophomore Abigail Grabein led the way with a 70.5-70 victory over Caroline Daniels, while teammates Emma Myers and Courtney Dawe picked up one-point and two-point wins, respectively. OSU's Leah Kuehn took home MVP honors.
The Aggies close out the regular season next Saturday when they host New Mexico State at 11 a.m. Texas A&M's seniors will be recognized during the program and admission is free.
