
Women's Basketball Moves to 10-0 with Win at SMU

DALLAS- Texas A&M pushed its record to 10-0, matching the nation's longest active win streak, with a 70-62 win over SMU at Moody Coliseum. Courtney Williams matched a season-high with a team-leading 21 points.
This is the Aggies first 10-0 start since 2008-09, and only the second 10-0 start in school history. The Aggies are one of 15 remaining unbeaten teams in Division I after tonight's games.
DeSoto native Jordan Jones scored A&M's first 10 points, hitting three 3-pointers, including a 4-point play, as A&M jumped out to a 14-5 lead. Jones finished with 16 points, matching her season total from last season with seven double-digit scoring games. She added seven assists, eight rebounds, and five steals to her totals.
The Aggies took a 33-26 lead into halftime. A&M opened up the second half with a 6-2 run, and never trailed in the second half.
Williams had 20+ points for the second time this season and ninth time in her career. She has reached double digits in four of her last five games.
Tori Scott added a season-high 12 points, giving A&M three players in double figures.
The Aggies return to Reed Arena to host Houston on Dec. 13 at 1:30 p.m. in their next game. Coverage of that game is on SEC Network Plus.
