No. 2 Aggies Down No. 9 Delaware State in Road Opener, 15-4

FELTON, Del.– The No. 2 Texas A&M equestrian team defeated No. 9 Delaware State, 15-4, in its road opener Friday morning from the Dovington Training Center.
The Aggies (2-0) jumped out to an early 4-1 lead over the Hornets (1-2) through Flat. Maggie Nealon led the charge with an 88 on Denali en route to earning her eighth career MOP honor and first of the season. Brooke Brombach (77), Rylee Shufelt (81) and Devan Thomas (72) also picked up points for the Maroon & White.
In Reining, the Aggies collected three more points to up their advantage to 7-2 at the halftime break. Lauren Hanson collected MOP honors in the event with a score of 68.5 on Finn. The MOP honor marked the second of Hanson's career. Gracie Casebolt (71) and Anna Harris (73.5) also registered points for Texas A&M.
After the break, the Aggies picked up four more points in Fences as their lead grew to 11-3. Brombach logged a team-best 90 on Geo to earn a point for the Maroon & White. Kate Egan (89), Alexa Leong (82) and Alida Treuting (70) also picked up wins for Texas A&M.
The Aggies finished off the road victory with a 4-1 mark in Horsemanship to make the final 15-3. Ellie Gerbrandt earned MOP honors with a ride of 74.5 on Maverick. The MOP award marked the fourth of Gerbrandt's career. Kaitlyn Bloom (73), Meagan Braun (63.5) and Hanna Olaussen (70) also contributed points for the Maroon & White.
