Get to know one of the returning Aggies below…
What has been the biggest lesson you've learned in your collegiate career?
"The biggest lesson I learned is never giving up on yourself, even when everything is going negative, always fight back to prove yourself."
Where have you seen yourself improve from your freshman season to now?
"I've improved a lot on the field from hitting to fielding but mostly on the mental side. I've gotten stronger mentally and knowing what I can do and what I was brought here to do."
What are your individual and team goals for this season?
"My individual and team goals always stay the same, which is getting to the World Series. It's the main goal and the one thing I'm looking at this year."
Who has been you're biggest role model in your career?"
"My biggest role model is my brother because he is strong, courageous and I've seen him grow into the person he is today. Something I want to do is keep growing like him."
What sets A&M apart from other universities?
"The 12th Man. They are huge and always show out for us, even if we're down, they are always there rooting for us."
What is your favorite Aggie tradition?
"Getting the Aggie Ring. It's a huge accomplishment and I'm excited to get mine soon."
How was the experience of winning the Home Run Derby X Title with the Dodgers?
"It was truly a blessing. I can't put into words how amazing it was. Having such good role models like Manny Ramirez, Todd Frazier and Adrian Gonzales. Those are some of the top hitters of all time. Getting to hear their stories, compete with them and against them was really cool. I'm happy I got to meet everybody and it was like having two families."
What is it like to play with the Dodgers, a team you looked up to growing up?
"It was super fun. I didn't know what team I was going to be on at first, so I was praying it was going to be the Dodgers. I've seen Adrian Gonzales play since I was little, and watched the Dodgers play, so it was a great experience."
What are some of your hobbies aside from softball?
"I like to go fishing and shopping. Fishing helps clear my mind and shopping gets my closet going."
Do you have any pre-game superstitions?
"I have to drink an Alani and a Dutch Bro Surprise Rebel every game. I also have to wear a pink sparkly bow in my hair."
If you could design a uniform for the team, what would it look like?
"I would love to see a black and white pinstripe uniform."
If you could have a home run derby against anyone on the team, who would it be against?
"I would want to go against KK Dement because in the summer we did a home run derby together and she's a fun competitor."
Who on the team would you trust to make pre-game meals for the team?
"DeeDee Baldwin. I've heard some really good things about DeeDee cooking and whipping it up for the team. I haven't tried her food yet, but I trust her."
