Nov 01, 2025 | Baseball
MINNEAPOLIS – Former Texas A&M pitcher Brad Rudis signed a minor league deal with the Minnesota Twins early Friday morning.
Rudis spent the summer as a member of the Williamsport Crosscutters of the MLB Draft League, making 10 starts in 17 appearances. The right-hander logged a 3.05 ERA and 1.16 WHIP across 56.0 innings pitched, adding a pair of saves. Additionally, his 69 strikeouts were tied for the second-most in the MLB Draft League. Rudis' efforts with the Crosscutters earned him a spot on the 2025 MLB Draft League All-Second Half Team.
Across his four years in Aggieland, Rudis appeared in 87 games, which ranks as the fifth-most in program history. The Madisonville, Texas, native tallied 129 strikeouts to go along with a 3.76 ERA in 131.2 innings pitched in the Maroon & White. The righty played an instrumental role out of the bullpen in the Aggies' 2022 and 2024 trips to the College World Series, most notably recording the final outs in Texas A&M's victories over Texas in the 2022 College World Series and Louisiana in the 2024 Bryan-College Station Regional. Rudis' 15-1 career record in Aggieland stands as the best in program history in terms of winning percentage (.938). In the 2025 campaign, Rudis logged a 2.84 ERA and 35 strikeouts across 31.2 innings pitched.
