12thMan.com chatted with Tilde Stromquist. The freshman joined the Aggies this fall after her experience with playing in Stockholm, Sweden.
Why did you choose Texas A&M?
I chose A&M because of the strong tennis team they have, and on my visit, I really liked all the people and the environment here. So that was the main reason why I chose to come here.
Why did you choose to attend college instead of going pro?
After playing pro for two years before coming here, I chose to go to college because all of the opportunities, facilities and people they give you the chance to work with and the environment you're given the chance to be in.
Biggest adjustments coming from Sweden to Texas?
The biggest adjustment is having your family and close ones so far away. The people who have always been your safety or your home or someone you can always go to and now they're so far away.
What is your favorite food?
I am a big fan of sushi.
Besides playing tennis, what do you do for fun?
I like playing golf when I'm not playing tennis. Spending time with my family and friends and I love to run as well.

What emoji best describes you?
The one with the laughing crying eyes.
What is your favorite Aggie tradition?
My favorite is the environment and when you go to football games, for example, like everyone feels like family. I feel like everyone in the crowd is just like a team, which is amazing.
Who on the team has made the biggest impact on you so far?
I would say Anna and Lexington [Reed]. Anna and I came in as freshmen together, so we spent a lot of time together before everyone else got here and had all the adjustments and new things together and Lex is also our roommate and we've gotten really close and she's very supportive and helps me with all of the adjustments when I came here.

What are your goals and aspirations for this season?
I hope I will be able to contribute to the team and be a good team member, support the other girls on the team, and of course I hope we win the SEC and NCAA Championship.
What are the three essentials of your everyday life?
I'm going to say my scooter that takes me everywhere on campus, my phone and my racquet.
