No. 4 Equestrian Falls to No. 1 Georgia

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 4 Texas A&M equestrian team fell against No. 1 Georgia, 10-9, Saturday morning at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.
Adasyn Kallay earned the lone point for the Maroon & White (3-2, 1-2) in Horsemanship with a score 70.75 on Fiona. In Flat, Kate Egan added another point and secured her second MOP honor of the season with her ride of 74.5 on Celsius, cutting the deficit to 7-2 at the break.
After the half, the Aggies gained momentum in Fences behind a trio of points from Egan (79), Grace DeFoe (82.5) and Grace Shipman (79.5). Alexa Leong's performance of 84.5 on Cybermax garnered her the fifth MOP honor of her career and brought Texas A&M within one, 7-6.
Anna Harris' score of 70.75 in Reining tied the meet for the first time, and the Maroon & White added another pair of points from Mattie Gustin (72.5) and Moriah McQueen (70.5). Gustin's ride on Creed earned her the sixth MOP honor of her career. Despite the late surge, the Aggies came up short against the top-ranked Bulldogs (5-0).
