BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 6 Texas A&M equestrian team downed No. 3 Georgia, 12-4, in SEC action Friday afternoon at the Hildebrand Equine Complex.
The Aggies (6-4, 2-3) and Bulldogs (5-3, 3-1) were even at 2-2 after Flat as Brooke Brombach (85) and Devon Thomas (85) secured points for the Maroon & White. In Horsemanship, Texas A&M outscored Georgia 2-1 to take a 4-3 lead heading into the break. Kaitlyn Bloom (74.5) and Ellie Gerbrandt picked up the pair of points for the Aggies.
Following the break, Alexa Leong (87), Devon Thomas (92) and Alida Treuting (89) earned points for the Maroon & White in Fences as the advantage extended to 7-4. Thomas earned her first MOP honor of the season for her ride on Chapman.
The Aggies captured all five points in Reining to secure the 12-4 victory over the Bulldogs. This marked the second time this season the Maroon & White blanked their opponent in Reining. Lauren Hanson garnered her second MOP honor this season for her ride of 71.5 on Tank. Gracie Casebolt (69.5), Isabelle Gonzalez (70), Mattie Gustin (69.5) and Anna Harris (67) contributed the remaining points for Texas A&M.

The Aggies remain home to take on Dartmouth (Jumping Seat only) on Friday, Feb. 21 at noon followed by UC Davis on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m. from the Hildebrand Equine Complex.
