No. 5 Aggies Roll Past UC Davis, 13-4

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 5 Texas A&M equestrian team defeated UC Davis, 13-4, Saturday afternoon for its third straight win at the Hildebrand Equine Complex. Saturday's contest served as the NCEA Meet of the Week.
The Aggies (8-4) and UC Davis (4-8) split in Flat, 2-2, following points from Rylee Shufelt (75) and Devon Thomas (88). In Horsemanship, Ellie Gerbrandt (75), Hanna Olaussen (72.5) and Millie Landon (74) each posted points to give Texas A&M a 5-3 lead going into the break. Gerbrandt earned MOP honors for her ride on Teddy, marking the senior's third of the season and sixth of her career.
Following the half, Alexa Leong (85), Devon Thomas (86) and Alida Treuting (86) picked up points in Fences to push the Aggie advantage to 8-4. Thomas earned her second MOP honor of the season and sixth of her career in the event with her ride on JJ.
The Maroon & White secured all five points in Reining to finish off the 13-4 victory. The sweep marked the Aggies' third of the season in the discipline. Mattie Gustin earned her second MOP honor of the year with a ride of 72 on Colonel. Gracie Casebolt (71.5), Isabelle Gonzalez (69.5), Lauren Hanson (63) and Anna Harris (69.5) contributed the remaining points for Texas A&M.
