Three-Seeded Aggies Advance to SEC Championship Final

Mill Spring, N.C. – The three-seeded Texas A&M equestrian team punched its ticket to the SEC Championship Final for the fourth straight season after defeating No. 2 seed Georgia, 10-9, in semifinal action Friday morning at the Tryon International Equestrian Center.
The Aggies (8-6) secured an early 3-2 lead in Flat behind points from Nicole McMillion (80.67), Maggie Nealon (79.67) and Rylee Shufelt (78.33).
In Reining, Mattie Gustin (71.33), Lauren Hanson (71.17) and Anna Harris (67.17) picked up points to help the Maroon & White take the 6-4 lead into the half. Hanson earned MOP honors for her ride on Nike, marking her third of the season and fourth of her career.
After the break, the Bulldogs (6-6) evened the score at 7-7 following Fences. Alida Treuting recorded the lone point for Texas A&M in the event with a ride of 83.67 on Rico.
In Horsemanship, Ellie Gerbrandt (75), Millie Landon (76.67) and Hanna Olaussen (68.17) secured points to complete the 10-9 victory for the Aggies. Landon was named MOP for her ride on Boomer, marking the first of her career.
