27 Aggies Garner APHA Academic Honors

WACO – Twenty-seven members of the Texas A&M equestrian team garnered APHA academic honors, as announced by the National Collegiate Equestrian Association on Thursday afternoon.
Brooke Brombach, Kate Egan, Ellie Gerbrandt, Isabelle Gonzalez, Mattie Gustin, Millie Landon, Alexa Leong, Hanna Olaussen and Alida Treuting were named to the APHA All-Academic First Team. To qualify for first team honors, a student-athlete must compete in a minimum of 70 percent of the team's meets, while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher for the fall and spring semesters.
Maggie Nealon, Rylee Shufelt and Devan Thomas earned second team honors, which required competing in a minimum of 60 percent of the team's meets, while keeping a 3.25 GPA for the fall and spring semesters.
Kaitlyn Bloom, Gracie Casebolt and Lauren Hanson secured a spot on the honorable mention team. To qualify for honorable mention honors, riders must have competed in 50 percent of the meets and maintained a 3.0 GPA for the fall and spring semesters.
The Aggies also had 24 student-athletes named to the APHA Academic Honor Roll, which is awarded to those with a cumulative GPA of a 3.25 in the fall and spring semesters.
