Coulibaly Selected by the Chicago Sky in 2025 WNBA Draft

NEW YORK – Texas A&M's Aicha Coulibaly was taken in the 2025 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky Monday night with the 22nd pick in the second round after an illustrious five-year collegiate career.
Coulibaly became the 18th Aggie drafted to the WNBA and the first since Aaliyah Wilson, N'dea Jones and Ciera Johnson were selected in the 2021 WNBA Draft.
The Bamako, Mali, native averaged 13.2 points per game and poured in 1,675 points during her career. Coulibaly shot 50.8% from the field during her two seasons at Texas A&M and was the Aggies' premier defender.
Coulibaly helped Texas A&M to its first NCAA Tournament berth during the 2023-24 campaign since 2021 and led the Maroon & White to its first two ranked victories since 2021 this year as well. Coulibaly was a two-time All-SEC Second Team selection during her career.
Training Camp for the WNBA begins April 27 with the regular season slated for a May 16 start. Coulibaly joins Sydney Colson (Indiana Fever) as Aggies who are currently on a WNBA roster prior to training camp.
