Aggies Defeat Oklahoma State, Advance to NCEA Semifinals

OCALA, Fla. – The No. 6 seed Texas A&M equestrian team defeated No. 3 seed Oklahoma State by raw score, 1568.75-1537.67, in NCEA Quarterfinal action Thursday afternoon at the World Equestrian Center.
With the win, the Aggies (9-7) are headed to the NCEA Semifinals for the second straight season.
Texas A&M secured an early 4-1 lead in Fences following strong performances from Brooke Brombach (75), Kate Egan (86), Devon Thomas (80.7) and Alida Treuting (80.7). Despite dropping Reining to the Cowgirls (9-6), the Maroon & White took a 6-4 advantage into the break. Mattie Gustin (70.3) and Isabelle Gonzalez (69.5) tallied the lone points for Texas A&M in the event.
After the break, Maggie Nealon (71), Nicole McMillion (74.3) and Grace Shipman (78.3) helped push the Aggie lead to 9-6 in Flat. Ellie Gerbrandt registered the lone point in Horsemanship with a ride of 76.2 to even the score at 10-10, forcing the tiebreaker.
