Lednicky Named to USA Volleyball National Team Long-List Roster
May 08, 2025 | Volleyball
COLORADO SPRINGS – Texas A&M volleyball's Logan Lednicky was named to the U.S. Women's National Team long-list roster, as she joins a group of 30 in preparation for the Volleyball Nations League, the organization announced Thursday.
"I'm so excited for the opportunity to compete in the USA gym this summer," Lednicky said. "It's a dream of mine to be an Olympian, and this is just one step closer to accomplishing that."
Earning her first senior national team call up, Lednicky joins a decorated group for a training camp prior to the 2025 VNL. This is the rising senior's second-straight year receiving an invitation for U.S. Volleyball action, as last year she was selected to the collegiate national team which trained with the 2024 Olympic Team prior to the Paris games.
"When I chose to come to Texas A&M, it was with the vision of building a program where young women could grow into Olympians," head coach Jamie Morrison said. "I'm incredibly proud of Logan for earning this opportunity with the National Team and equally proud of our staff for helping make it possible. USA Volleyball is getting a good one, and while Logan may be my first athlete selected to the National Team, I know she's far from the last."
Lednicky is coming off an outstanding junior campaign, as she was named a Second Team All-American and guided the team to its first NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 berth since 2019. She capped off the year with the second-highest kills per set total (4.47) and third-highest kill total (492) in a single season in A&M history during the rally-scoring era. The Sugar Land, Texas, native recorded 20+ kills in eight matches last season, including three straight in the Maroon & White's three NCAA Tournament fixtures, a feat only two athletes in the tournament accomplished.
Volleyball Nations League is the world's premier annual international indoor volleyball tournament. The top 16 teams in the world play four matches a week for three weeks of preliminary competition. The top eight teams at the end of the preliminaries will go to the Final Round.
