Seven Aggies Set to Compete at World Athletics Championships

TOKYO – The Texas A&M track & field team will be represented by seven athletes at the 2025 World Athletics Championships held at the Japan National Stadium Sept. 13-21.
A decorated group of Texas A&M greats make the trip to Tokyo to compete for their respective countries at the 2025 world championships. The squad of seven represent four countries, with four donning the Red, White and Blue, while three others will represent Jamaica, Algeria and Grenada.
The meet features athletes from at least 100 countries, across the 48 events. The Maroon & White contingent will be competing in seven disciplines, Donavan Brazier in the 800m, Bryce Deadmon in the 4x400m, Will Williams in the long jump, Lamara Distin in the high jump, Yasser Mohammed Tahar Triki in the triple jump, Timara Chapman in the heptathlon and Lindon Victor in the decathlon.
The championships will be streamed across Peacock and the NBC Sports app/website, or fans can keep track of results through the World Athletics website.
