
Aggies Shine in Road Weekend Finale

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M track & field team swept the event titles at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational and set three all-time marks at the John Thomas Terrier Classic to close a split road weekend.
Ja'Qualon Scott set the tone on the final day in Louisville, dominating the 60m hurdles event to claim his second-straight win of the season. The senior won the prelims with a mark of 7.65 and followed that up with a blistering season-best 7.52 in the final. His time that secured the title ranks No. 2 in the country this year and was just shy of his own school record (7.51).
The women's 4x400m relay team held the early momentum, as they added the second win of the day at the Lenny Lyles Invitational. The quartet consisting of Jahnile Registre, Camryn Dickson, Tyler Lowe and Sofia Yakushina crossed the in 3:32.99, their mark was over five second faster than second place.
Wrapping up the meet was the men's 4x400m group, and they did so with a bang. The team which included Auhmad Robinson, Eric Hemphill III, Kimar Farquharson and Lawson Jacobs led from start to front and finished in 3:02.71 for the win. The groups time also ranks No. 1 in the country this season and is fifth in the Aggie record books.
Shifting to the John Thomas Terrier Classic, the men's mile group got the day started as Ondrej Gajdoš became the third member of the sub-four-minute mile club. The junior crossed the line in 3:58.69 which ranks second in the Texas A&M record books and was good for third in the event. Youssef Asslouj also logged a record-book mark of 4:02.04 in the event to debut at No. 9 all-time.
Concluding the meet in Boston was Michael Moiben in his Maroon & White debut in the men's open 5,000m. The freshman crossed the line in with a time of 13:50.48 which was good for No. 2 in the A&M record book and seventh overall in the event.
