Sep 19, 2025 | Men's Tennis
TULSA, Okla. – The Texas A&M men's tennis team continues fall action at the ITA All-American Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center from Sept. 20-28.
"Excited for our guys to play against the best college players this next week at the ITA All-Americans," head coach Steve Denton said. "This is a real opportunity for our guys to test themselves early in the season with the best of the best. This will only make us better and allow us to be able to evaluate what we need to do to be better."
The tournament is made up of three draws, pre-qualifying (Sept. 20-21), qualifying (Sept. 22-23) and the main draw (Set. 24-28). Ten singles players, including eight main draw quarterfinalists and two feed-in consolation finalists, and four main draw quarterfinalists doubles tandems will earn a qualifying spot in the NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship.
Sophomore Auburn transfer Alex Frusina opens the tournament in the main draw. Junior Oklahoma transfer Kholo Montsi and fellow junior Tiago Pires start in the qualifying round while senior Togan Tokac opens in the pre-qualifying round. Montsi and Frusina are slated to start in main draw doubles while Tokac and Pires earned a wild card to the qualifying round.
Tokac, Montsi and Pires all competed last year, with Tokac making a deep run to the quarterfinals of main draw doubles. Montsi's run ended in the first round of main draw singles and doubles while Pires concluded play in the pre-qualifying round.
