
Track & Field Concludes Indoor Regular Season with Three-Meet Split

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The Texas A&M track & field team concludes its indoor regular-season slate on the road as it splits travel between three meets which take place Feb. 20-21.
The Aggies spread across the country to wrap up the regular season, as two distance medley relay teams travel to Notre Dame for the Alex Wilson Invitational, while three individuals head to Fayetteville for the Arkansas Qualifier and one competes at the Iowa Open in Iowa City.
Texas A&M's group that heads to Indiana for a pair of DMR's has its eyes set on punching tickets to the Indoor National Championships in Fayetteville. Last year, Texas A&M sent a men's DMR team with the same goal and accomplished the feat, breaking the school record at the time of 9:20.51. That team went on to improve the time again at the NCAA Championships, crossing the line in 9:17.74.
Carlson headlines the group heading to the home of the Razorbacks, looking to improve upon her school record in the pole vault of 4.47m/14-8. The Maroon & White also send a women's long jump duo of Morgan Davis and Machaeda Linton who each entered the Aggie record books this season at No. 6 (6.33m/20-9.25) and No. 10 (6.29m/20-7.75), respectively.
Henry Zimmerman rounds out the weekend's competitors in Iowa City, carrying momentum in the form of four straight school-record breaking performances in the weight throw. His most recent outing saw him register a toss of 22.30m/73-2 to win the Don Kirby Elite invitational.
