
Gustin, Shipman Garner NCEA Ride of the Week Honors

WACO – Texas A&M's Mattie Gustin (Reining) and Grace Shipman (Fences) earned the National Collegiate Equestrian Association's Ride of the Week honors, the organization announced, after helping lead the Aggies to a 10-8 win over No. 3 SMU Saturday.
Gustin secured the meet winning point in Reining from a ride of 71.75 on Tank in her final ride at the Hildebrand Equine Complex. The senior defeated her opponent by 0.75 points with no penalties. Gustin owns a total of seven career MOP honors, including two this season.
Shipman captured the second MOP honor of her career after posting an 88.5 on Max in Fences against SMU. The sophomore topped her opponent by one point with no penalties.
Gustin, Shipman and the Aggies return to action March 7 as the travel to face Auburn at the Auburn University Equestrian Center.
