Pryor Named to SEC Community Service Team
Feb 25, 2026 | Women's Basketball
BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M's Ny'Ceara Pryor was named to the 2025-26 SEC Community Service Team, the league announced Wednesday.
Pryor is one of the most community minded individuals at Texas A&M. She has helped organize and transport household items for new students at Grace Bible Church in Aggieland and was a part of a team initiative that brought food to families through the Brazos Valley Food Bank.
She also started and runs her own backpack drive in her hometown that has collected school supplies and backpacks for children in the area. The initiative just had its third annual drive and has donated over 1,000 backpacks over the course of the three-year span.
Over the holiday season, Pryor helped bring food to families during Thanksgiving and took part in the team's "Bike Build" where they built and donated hundreds of bikes and helmets to children of the Bryan-College Station area.
This marks the 28th year for the SEC Community Service Team for women's basketball as well as for men's basketball. All league-sponsored sports have had a Community Service Team since 2004, with at-large teams for men's and women's sports being chosen from 1999-2003. The SEC began this concept with a football Community Service Team in 1994.
Between the lines, Pryor is leading the SEC in steals per game (3.6) and No. 5 in the nation in assists per night (7.1). The Aggie has recorded three-straight double-doubles in assists and points, which is the first time in 17 years that an SEC player has done so in league play. Pryor is also pouring in 15.9 points per game and could become the first player since the turn of the century to average at least 16.0 points, 7.0 assists and 3.5 steals for a season.
Texas A&M and Pryor return to the court Thursday versus Mississippi State for their home finale of the regular season. The game tips off at 7 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at 12thmanfoundation.net.
