No. 3 Equestrian Falls to No. 2 Georgia

BISHOP, Ga. – The No. 3 Texas A&M equestrian team fell, 13-7, to No. 2 Georgia Saturday morning at the UGA Equestrian Complex.
The Aggies fell behind early in Fences and Horsemanship. In Fences, Grace Shipman posted an 88.5, earning a new personal best while Alida Treuting (85) secured the other point in the discipline. Kendall Dirksen delivered the Maroon & White the lone point in Horsemanship with a score of 76.75, sending Texas A&M into the break trailing 7-3.
After the half, Londyn Samlaska (85.5) and Logan Thomas (84) each secured points for the Aggies in Flat, with both riders setting new personal bests in the discipline.
The Maroon & White closed the meet with a pair of points in Reining behind Mattie Gustin and Moriah McQueen (72.5). Gustin recorded a ride of 71.75 on JJ, earning her second MOP honor of the season and the seventh of her career.
Next Up
The Aggies return home to host SMU on Saturday, Feb. 14th, at 10:30 a.m. in a Valentine's Day matchup.
