
Aggies Earn Eight All-SEC Honors and One Special Award

BIRMINGHAM – The Texas A&M equestrian team collected eight All-SEC honors and Ady Kallay was named the SEC Freshman Rider of the Year for Horsemanship, as the league announced its awards for the 2025-26 season Thursday afternoon.
The Aggies were represented on the All-SEC team by Kate Egan (Flat), Mattie Gustin (Reining), Moriah McQueen (Reining) and Grace Shipman (Fences). Ady Kallay (Horsemanship) earned All-Freshman team honors in addition to being named SEC Freshman Rider of the Year, while Logan Thomas (Fences/Flat) also earned All-Freshman team recognition. Alexa Leong was selected to the SEC Community Service Team.
Kallay has logged a 7-5 record along with a 72.61 scoring average in her freshman season. The Drayton Valley, Alberta, native registered a 6-2 mark against SEC opponents and a season-high score of 75.33. She is the third Aggie in program history to earn SEC Freshman Rider of the Year honors for Horsemanship, joining Alex Albright (2018) and Hanna Olaussen (2022).
Egan went 8-2-2 overall in Flat, winning both her rides at the SEC Championship to clinch the title for Texas A&M and secured her second All-SEC accolade. She recorded a 72.20 scoring average across 12 meets and a 3.63 average margin of victory to earn NCEA All-America honors. Her ride of 88.67 on Major set a new team-high and personal best, earning her third MOP honor of the season during the Aggies' conference title run.
Gustin earned her third consecutive All-SEC honor to go along with her third NCEA All-America accolade after posting a 7-4-1 record to go with a 70.53 scoring average. The Aledo, Texas, native tallied three MOP honors this season, including one in the semifinal upset of No. 1 Auburn at the SEC Championship. Over 12 rides, she compiled a 1.13 average margin of victory.
McQueen earned her first All-SEC selection after compiling a 9-3 overall record, including a perfect 7-0 mark against SEC opponents. The junior went undefeated at the SEC Championship, helping the Aggies secure their first conference title and her first All-America honor. She earned a career-high 72.5 against Fresno State to earn her lone MOP honor of the season. Across 12 rides, McQueen posted a 70.15 scoring average and an average win margin of 8.89 against one ride of 0.
Shipman posted an 8-4 record along with two MOP honors and an 84.18 scoring average to earn All-SEC recognition in fences. She was a first team All-American and recorded a 5-3 mark against SEC opponents and posted a career high score of 89 at No. 2 Georgia. She also boasts a 15.81 average margin of victory against one ride of 0.
Thomas is the first Aggie to earn SEC All-Freshman honors in both fences and flat in the same season. In flat, she posted a 3-5 overall record with a season-high of 84 and averaged a 9.5 margin of victory across eight meets. In fences, she recorded a 2-4 record with an average win margin of 5.84. Her season-high score of 86 on Glennis earned her lone MOP honor of the season.
Leong was recognized for her exceptional dedication to community service through her leadership and outreach by being named the SEC Community Service Team. As President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), she leads meetings, serves as a liaison between student-athletes and the athletics department, and advocates for student-athlete welfare. As an ambassador for the Voom Foundations, she supports medical missions providing free open-heart surgeries in Nigeria by packaging supplies, raising awareness and organizing fundraisers like the Heart & Sole 5k. As the founder of Youth Equestrians for Change, she mentors young riders by providing access to horses, coaching and competitive opportunities, fostering both new skills and personal growth.
