FYEX 101: First-Year Experience for Student-Athletes
FYEX 101: Hullabaloo U for Student-Athletes is a First Year Experience Course offered for freshmen student-athletes to help ease the transition into college through a combination of in-class workshops, online curriculum, and 1-on-1 academic support. Each class will be held in a small group of 10-25 students to promote active engagement in classroom setting and to encourage student-athletes to develop a sense of belonging.Traditions Night
The purpose of Traditions Night is to officially welcome incoming student-athletes to Texas A&M University by providing them with a program that captures the spirit of Aggieland. Through a partnership with the Office of Extended Orientation, Traditions Night was created to help student-athletes develop a greater sense of belonging and pride in Texas A&M University through an introduction to culture, history, and traditions that make us Texas A&M. Student-athletes are led by upperclassmen Huddle Leaders on an interactive walking tour of significant campus landmarks while also getting to know other students through small group interactions. For information about personal development programs, please contact Kadaja Cryer.
