AT PRESTONWOOD CHRISTIAN ACADEMY: As a three year captain he played under Mike Maack and Todd Cash at Prestonwood Christian Academy... earned First Team All-District, Second Team All-State and Defensive Player of the Year in 2014... Was also Perfect Game Underclassman All-American and earned TAPPS Academic All-State for his efforts in the classroom... team made it to the playoffs every year he was in high school making it as far as the state semi-finals his sophomore and senior years... played summer baseball for both the Dallas Patriots and the Houston Bandits where he won the PG World Series... in addition to baseball, Metten was also a member of the National Honor Society.
