Cole Lamkin

Cole Lamkin is in his first year as a Sports Field Coordinator where he is currently responsible for maintaining the playing surfaces for Soccer and Track and Field. He also assists at other athletic fields when necessary.
Lamkin worked as a student for the Texas A&M Sports Field staff from January 2021 until December 2021 when he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture and a double major in Turfgrass Science from Texas A&M University. After graduating he moved to Dallas, Texas to work at SMU’s Sports Turf Department before returning to Texas A&M in August 2022.
Lamkin is originally from Columbia, South Carolina, but calls College Station home having lived in the area off and on for over 15 years. He has always been fixated with all things horticulture and while taking a turf class as an elective at A&M discovered his passion for Sports Field Management.
Cole has three brothers and three sisters who all currently reside in College Station. He enjoys everything related to college athletics and as well as playing tennis, pickleball, and volleyball in his free time.
