James S. Distefano, D.O. attended undergraduate at the University of Louisiana-Monroe. He attended medical school at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 1992. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine/Sports Medicine and completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship. He was a team physician at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK from 2005-2007. Dr. Distefano joined Texas A&M as a team physician in 2007.
In addition to his duties at A&M, Dr. Distefano is a practicing physician at Cornerstone Sports Medicine. He is married to Jennifer, and they have 4 children.
