Owen Caldwell joined the Texas A&M football staff in February 2026 as the assistant director of football equipment.
Caldwell arrived in Aggieland after serving as head football equipment manager at the University of Connecticut from 2024-26, where he developed and managed the football equipment budget, oversaw ordering, purchasing and storage of athletic equipment and supervised a team of 16 student managers. He oversaw gameday stadium and locker room setup, collaborated with recruiting staff for events and partnered with vendors to customize team apparel and design new locker room spaces. He joined UConn’s equipment staff as assistant director in 2023.
Prior to his time in Storrs, Caldwell was a student equipment manager at the University of Georgia, managing equipment needs for players, coaches and staff, maintaining apparel inventory and ensuring gameday locker room readiness.
Caldwell earned his degree from Georgia in business administration and finance with a minor in sports management. He is A.E.M.A. certified by the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
